Epson 405 series inks are a 4-colour ink cartridge set consisting of Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow cartridges, available in standard or XL capacities. The original cartridge sets use Epson Durabrite inks, which are pigment-based inks.

The printers using these cartridges can also use Dye-based or Sublimation inks. You would use dye inks when printing mainly graphics or photographs, and Sublimation inks for printing onto Polyester T-shirts, Ceramic Mugs and other personalised gifts.
